JR PROGRAM HONDATA

well just to let you guys know what i think,

i just got done installing this JR hondata ecu i got from moss motors. i gota say it is AWESOME! the difference between not tunned and tunned(somewhat) is night and day. i can feel more lower end torque, vtec crossover is now ~3K rpm, everytime i hit vtec i can hear my exhuast just PPPPPPUUUFFFFFFFF! i mean not hitting vtec and hitting vtec there is a drastic sound difference-not to mention the power too! you can drive around as long as you dont gas it vtec wont kick it so that you can save on gas. i also noticed that when i am going from idle rpm to max rpm the power after vtec is so much more linear, i feel no more hiccups, no mor bog. i gots to hand it to those poeple at hondata, it a great product but quit expensive [img]frown.gif[/img]

i had a straight through magnaflow exhuast and now i have a mugen twin loop, i am happy with the lower tone the mugen makes but i believe it so much more restrictive than the magnaflow - i think there is a power difference too - i think i actually lost some power there [img]frown.gif[/img] maybe its just me...

my best run was 14.29sec without hondata... gonna go to the track this friday to see if all that money i spent was worth it!

hey, shoot me an email on how much the whole setup cost ya and any changes/settings you had to fool with thanks! I figure down the road (when my Cartech FMU takes a crap) I might go Hondata to keep my car running another 100k miles.

When you say you have the maps for the JR Hondata setup, does that mean that if we got the base S200B unit, you could burn those same maps that come with the JR Hondata $1300 unit and we could save a boatload of money? If so, that sounds real sweet!

The map does flat out rock! I have been running the one for the b18c5 in my car for about 2.5 weeks now and the thing pulls so damn strong. I like it, i know i will have t hit the dyno soon now and get the overlap completley out of my cams.

I dont hack Hondata software. You do have to have the datalogging purchased through a dealer for the code to be unlocked. You can purchase that and get the datalogging. I would reccomend getting ROM Editor, Datalogging, and Pocket Emulator. This way you can tune and make changes yourself.

I have been doing it for a while now and i can say it's much easier to tune than the AEM and has every feature + the AEM does.

oh i did not mean that literally, i meant i did not want to pay 200$ from moss motors, but would perfer to pay say 175$? 150$? 100$!!! what ever the hookup cost.

All dealers will charge you the same amount for the logger feature.

Hondata keeps it that way for a reason.
If a dealer sells it to you cheaper, then they can anwser to Doug.
